LA CASETTA "Magical wedding anniversary in Italy" Thank-you for helping to make the 45 day celebration of our twentieth wedding anniversary in Italy magical. We spent a week in Tuscany at the romantic, perfectly sweet Casetta Villa on the grounds of Calcione Castle, and it made me feel I could live in Italy part-time. Almost every day we would head out for a side trip (Sienna, Montepulciano, Assisi, Mount Oliveto Maggiore, the Prada facory, Cortona) and then go to Lucignano for dinner. One evening we had the castle cook prepare our dinner. I shall remember the horses and hills from the arched windows of the Casetta, reading in the sun by the pool. Your thoughtful inclusion on the kitchen shelves of plastic ware to pack a picnic lunch that could be sealed was appreciated. We hiked the castle grounds and found the tour of the church in the castle most interesting. To have your own 1,000 year old perfectly preserved Saint Joachim is not something that a lot of people who visit Italy get to see.
