CASA DEL CASTAGNO "We loved Tuscany" We had a wonderful time in Italy in April 2002. The directions to the property got us there without problems. When we arrived the house (Castagno) was just as I had hoped, very spacious, clean and comfortable for our group of 7. The weather in April was wonderful and we were able to spend a lot of time outside in the yard enjoying the private country setting. Unfortunately it was too early for the pool to be opened up. Every morning we took long walks often to the next village, we had several runners in our group and they were delighted with the beautiful scenery and the absence of cars on the country roads. In the afternoons we went to various villages and often brought wine and food home for our evening meal. We found the cooking facilities adequate and the dining room was perfect. We had dinner at home every night and one evening enjoyed a wonderful Tuscan meal prepared by your cook. We loved Tuscany and plan to return.
