I can hardly believe it is almost a month since we left for our trip to Tuscany. We both are back at work but enjoy many wonderful memories of our time in your wonderful land.
We found Calcione the perfect location for easy access to Cortona, Arezzo, Montepulciano, Siena and Florence for day trips of sightseeing and visiting museums. And we loved Lucignano. La Fornace was particularly suited to our group of 6. It allowed us to prepare our own breakfasts and dinners with wonderful products of Tuscany, have spacious rooms for reading and relaxing and the special benefit of the private lake for swimming. John swam every afternoon. Amel prepared a fabulous dinner for us; we wish we could have engaged her for more. We also enjoyed the fruits of Calcione; the blackberries for desserts, grapes for snacking. Also, Betty, one of our group made marvelous jams from the grapes and figs which we enjoyed on our breakfast toast. You have an ideal spot to live in; I am so happy you are sharing it with others and that we could be there for the time we had. We would like to return in future.
