Wayne and I enjoyed our time at Calcione very much. It truly was the highlight of our six week vacation. Casa del Lecci became our home for two weeks while we explored the Tuscan surroundings.
We thank your Mother for her warm welcome and you for your prompt replies when we were making inquiries and, ultimately, our booking. It was a pleasure to finally meet you! Wayne and I were impressed with your estate and hearing about some of its history. We enjoyed our walks to the lakes through the lovely trees and roadways. Our apartment was very comfortable and we appreciated the serenity. Each cloudless night we stood on the terrace marvelling at the Milky Way. Living in a big city one forgets how magnificent the night sky is!
We found Calcione such a wonderful location to explore Tuscany on day trips. Siena and Montepulciano were magnificent. Other jewels were Anghiari, Rapolano Terme, Arezzo, Montalcino and, of course, Florence. We found Lucignano and Singaluna charming and had all the amenities and services we needed.
Wayne and I would love to return to Calcione in the future and bring our extended family to stay in one of your larger houses.
