"Our stay could not have been better"
Our stay at the Casa della Pergola could not have been better. We loved the house, and it was absolutely perfect for our family. It not only made us feel we were part of Italy, the amenities were just right.
The house was cool and comfortable,
the kitchen well appointed - complete with a washer which allowed to get ready for the other half of our trip; each of the kids had his/her own bathroom so there were no arguments; and the pergola was one of the most delightful places on earth. In fact, our visit with you under the pergola the day we left--when you regaled us with those wonderful, funny stories--was one of the highlights of our entire trip.
Ever since, whenever we've seen a lizard, somebody always exclaims, "Watch out for the crocodile!"
Our only complaint was that our stay at Calcione was entirely too short. The next time we are in Italy - which we hope will be soon - we intend to spend our entire time there. In the meantime, please stay in touch and do let us know whenever you come to the States.
We'd love to return some of your lovely hospitality.
