"To experience Tuscany in any other way than the "Calcione Way" would be missing the heart and soul of Tuscany"
My stay at Calcione was a most memorable experience and one I plan to repeat. In October, I came with 18 others to stay at Calcione. Most of us stayed at the largest of the villas, San Giuseppe. It was an amazing experience.
The bedrooms were large and very comfortable, each with a private bathroom. The entire villa was charmingly decorated to give one a true feel of the real Tuscany. The kitchen was our meeting place in the morning and was equipped with every modern convenience: microwave, toaster, coffee maker, dishwasher, etc.
It seemed as if the location of Calcione was close to all the Tuscan hill towns, which we visited during the day. When we returned to San Giuseppe in the evening, the cook would be making the most fabulous meals from scratch. There was a CD player, and as we relaxed over cocktails before dinner, we listened to the CD's we had brought with us and discussed everything under the "Tuscan" sun. My time at Calcione creating memories with friends and family was enhanced by the thoughtfulness that the owner, Olivella della Stufa, put into every detail to make our stay one of the most enjoyable vacations I have ever experienced.
To experience Tuscany in any other way than the "Calcione Way" would be missing the heart and soul of Tuscany.
Thank you Olivella,
Sincerely,
