Here are detailed directions for Calcione (from South and from North):

FROM ROMA:
Take the highway (autostrada) A1 - direction FIRENZE. Exit at VALDICHIANA. Check the Km counter of your car. After the toll, turn right and follow signs for SIENA. After roughly 12 km (7.4 miles) from the highway exit, turn right, following the sign for RIGOMAGNO (Scrofiano, Farnetella, Lucignano etc.). Then follow signs for RIGOMAGNO, LUCIGNANO, AREZZO. After the railway level crossing, turn right. After less than 1 km (0.6 mile), turn left (the unpaved road) following sign for CALCIONE. Follow the next signs for il Calcione, you will arrive after 7,5 (4.3 miles) km of unpaved and paved road.

FROM FIRENZE:
Take the highway (autostrada) A1 - direction ROMA. Exit at MONTE SAN SAVINO. After the toll, turn left. After 1 km 200 m, turn left following the sign for SIENA (it's like a small highway that will end after 1 km 900 m). At the end of it, turn right following sign for LUCIGNANO. You'll arrive in Lucignano after 5 km.
400 m after the white welcome sign of the village you'll see a traffic light, turn right following sign for CALCIONE. At the bottom of the hill, you'll find another sign for CALCIONE (on your right). Follow it, you'll arrive at the castle after 6,5 km of unpaved and paved road.

FROM SIENA:
Follow signposts for Perugia - Bettole - Arezzo. After approx. 38 Km exit, turn right, following the sign for RIGOMAGNO (Scrofiano, Farnetella, Lucignano etc.). Then follow signs for RIGOMAGNO, LUCIGNANO, AREZZO. After the railway level crossing, turn right. After less than 1 km (0.6 mile), turn left (the unpaved road) following sign for CALCIONE. Follow the next signs for il Calcione, you will arrive after 7,5 (4.3 miles) km of unpaved and paved road.
