"The setting is stunning" My family, including my two four year old granddaughters, had an absolutely wonderful time at Casa del Castagno. The accommodations could not have been better, we did not want for anything. The staff could not have been more helpful. The setting is stunning, even the two little girls realized what a special place Il Calcione is. They want to know if we can go back next year. Well see. I just wanted to thank you for your hospitality during our stay at Calcione. Casa del Castagno could not have been better for our family vacation. We particularly enjoyed the rural Tuscan setting with the views and ancient architecture. The dinners prepared by Amel were nothing short of extraordinary. The location enabled us to explore Montepulciano, Siena, Monteriggioni, San Gimignano and Florence with ease. The tour of the castle was an unexpected treat along with the olive oil and wine from the estate. | "Nothing can compare to our stay and hiking in Tuscany" We have been hiking in Europe for 12 years, Austrian Lakes, Black forest, Lake Lucern etc.... but nothing can compare to our stay and hiking in Tuscany. We visited the wonderful medieval Cities surrounding the beautiful villa that we rented from you. We always go as a group of 6 (ladies only) and we were completely comfortable with our arrangement at the villa. The best part was every afternoon or early evening we returned home, having bought fresh fruit and vegetables, cheese and meats and after fixing our dinner eating under the beautiful chestnut tree - it was bliss. CASA DEL NOCE "I have never been so relaxed" We all agreed that, when we come back to Italy, we will be contacting you and also recommending it to all of our friends. I have never been so relaxed and enjoyed a place so much. Meeting your folks was very nice as well as walking the grounds. My special morning was walking down to the other villa. I saw the horses, cows, pheasants, deer and a real treat: a family of wild boars. You should feel free to give my email address to anyone who is considering staying there. We loved il Calcione. It was a perfect rural retreat during our month vacation in Italy. It was centrally located so that one could go to the wine towns, Sienna, and even Florence. | CASA DEL NOCE "An idyllic setting" We stayed at Casa del Noce for three weeks in September, 2006. We were delighted with both the accommodations and the location. We were convenient to the Autostrade and also the train station while having the luxury of an "Italian countryside experience". Our well appointed villa in an idyllic setting was a welcoming refuge after a day of sightseeing and also when we wanted a respite from rainy weather or travel. Before leaving we booked a month next September to ensure our being able to return. CASA DEL NOCE "We couldn't have asked for more" We had a wonderful time and enjoyed our stay at Calcione. It is ideally situated for exploring the beautiful Tuscan countryside and at the end of a busy day it was ideal to come home to the peace and quiet and comfort of Casa del Noce. The Casa itself was ideal for two couples, with the bedrooms and bathrooms being at opposite ends of the unit we all had perfect privacy. The kitchen allowed us to try our hands at Tuscan cooking and the living areas were tastefully decorated and gave us an idea of Tuscan country living. Everyone we met was helpful and friendly.
